Haldi ceremony decoration at home
Plan the décor around how the ceremony will actually flow: where the couple sits, where guests apply haldi and where wet hands can be washed without crossing the photo area.
Build the setup in five steps
- Choose a washable zone.Tile, a patio or a protected floor is easier to clean than carpet. Check weather and shade if you are outdoors.
- Protect the floor and walls.Use a waterproof layer under a decorative mat and keep pale fabrics outside the splash zone.
- Set the seat before the backdrop.Place the low seat, test camera angles, then position the backdrop far enough away to avoid turmeric splashes.
- Layer yellow with contrast.Marigold strings, yellow drapes and touches of green or pink photograph well without making every surface identical.
- Create a cleanup station.Keep towels, trash bags, handwashing water and a hamper close by but outside the photos.
Safety first. Secure freestanding frames and cables, keep exits clear, and keep flames and hot items away from drapes, children and guests.

- Use weighted feet outdoors and stop if wind makes the frame unsafe.
